Testimonials
"I was a difficult student.  I had problems. I often battled with low self esteem and a lack of direction, and I consistently wrestled with feelings of inadequacy in my singing.  Kirsten made me feel like my voice could be all I wanted it to be. I battle with a serious mood disorder, and Kirsten always noticed and had something meaningful to say to me, to keep me going.  She kept my chin up and my eyes on my goals.  She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, as well as her richness of character.  This unique distillation of her life time of experience is irreplaceable; I've watched her pull life changing performances from her students.  I've seen her students do things they never thought they could, surmount obstacles they never believed they would. I believe that the things she taught me have changed my life, and will continue to do so.  The techniques she practised with me will save my voice, which I was well on my way to destroying when I came to her.  Her kindness, grace and presence I will never forget. I believe the things she taught me changed my life."

"Singing is a passion of my Avy-girl.  She has worked with several vocal coaches over the years and only one of them, Kirsten, has taken the time to a) know where this child’s talent lies and b) gently and joyfully push Avy to take her voice to its fullest potential.  Anyone who has taught children understands these two vital components of engaging a learning process.  Avy comes away from each lesson not only a better vocalist, but happy and confident in what she is capable of achieving with her voice.  She is excited about the level of improvement in her skill and self-assured when she leaps into a new note, the next octave, or succeeds with a particular song’s bravado.  And that attitude, honed and developed by Kirsten, is priceless."
